Located just east of La Veta Pass along CO 10 from southwest to northeast are Mt. Mestas, Silver Mountain and the Black Hills; respectively. Mt. Mestas is a stock of microgranite. Silver Mountain is in the center of the image and is small stock with a set of dikes radiating outward. Some of the dikes radiating northeastward connect Silver Mountain with the Black Hills.
